The owners are friendly and enjoy a chat, and they speak Russian well. It's a family-run place, so it's a good fit if you care more about the people than the service. There's a shared kitchen and a washing machine. The hotel is near the sea, and Makhinjauri center is a 20-minute walk. A railway runs along the coast near the hotel, but trains aren't frequent, so they didn't cause us any trouble. Wi-Fi worked very well in every room, though the internet connection itself was slow, topping out at 10 Mbps.

The area is lovely and the location is great. We paid 1,000 rubles a day for the family, so it was a cheap holiday. It's not a five-star hotel, but for that price it was well worth it.

Enver and Malvina were simply wonderful, such friendly hosts. We stayed in 2019 and would come back if we get the chance. I can't say for sure why it used to have three stars, maybe Google gave it that rating.
