Our group of four had plenty of room in one cottage at Kera Cottages. It was inviting and comfortable, and everything felt dependable and cared for. The place was immaculate, which meant I could relax without worrying about used sheets the way I sometimes do in regular hotels. The front view is like a postcard. Inside, the kitchen and bathroom had all we needed, and the thoughtfully placed main and secondary lights made the evenings feel warm and cozy. The hosts were welcoming, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. They made sure we had what we needed from the start. A peaceful escape surrounded by natural beauty, and one I'd recommend wholeheartedly.

We arrived in Kazbegi on a big June road trip from Moscow to Istanbul. It was my second time there, but the mountains still held me. I've seen mountains in Dagestan and Turkey too, and they're all different. Kazbegi's are so captivating you just want to keep looking. That's what we did from Kera Cottages Kazbegi. The little touches made the cottage feel comfortable, from soft warm blankets to a coffee mug that felt good to hold. Everything was so thoughtfully arranged and in such good condition that it felt as if the owners had just stepped out, leaving the door open for us. It was very warm, had everything we needed, and comfortably fit four people. We could sit on the terrace and enjoy the view without going anywhere. Parking was easy, and we could order delivery by phone from a nearby restaurant. The location is hard to beat. The cottage is set back from the village and a little lower than the mountain, so the view takes in Kazbek, Stepantsminda, the Terek, and the valley on the left. If you didn't get good photos by Gergeti Church, there's a large green lawn and a lovely view in front of the house. Two nights felt too short, so I'd plan for three if you want to take your time. For this sort of cottage and location, the price is reasonable. In Turkey, housing of this class and even lower costs twice as much. Of all the places we've stayed, this one was our favorite.
