I spent quite a while in this clean, well-equipped apartment building. It’s new, in a lovely spot not far from the sea, with several shops open around the clock nearby. What soured the stay was the developers’ approach to access. They charge 40 lari for an electronic card to use the elevators, and after people started taking the stairs to avoid that, they put the same kind of lock on the stairwell door. My wife is scared of elevators and sometimes prefers not to use them, and these elevators also get stuck or break several times a month. So even with rent of $500-$650 a month and around 200 lari in utilities, you HAVE to pay another 40 lari to live here. COOL.

The owners made me feel like family and were always online when I needed something. They answered quickly, stayed flexible, and never refused a request. I felt right at home and was very happy with the stay. The room was clean, comfortable for two, and had air conditioning, a kitchen area, linens, and the other basics. No particular complaints from me. I was on the 13th floor, with a superb view of Gonio, the sea, and Batumi. Gonio is a village about 40 minutes from Batumi by public transport, and the sea there is much cleaner. Shops are close by, too. Thanks so much for the comfort and helpfulness in these times. The managers were friendly and hospitable, and I’m sincerely grateful for that. The apartment was comfortably furnished and had a good-quality renovation. From the balcony on the 13th floor, the view was lovely. There’s also a 24-hour convenience store about a 2-minute walk away, and the area is quiet, with a large embankment nearby. We stayed for about six months, through winter and spring.
