Homestay Izolda

Shops and restaurants are close by, though the center of Batumi is a bit of a walk, around 25-30 minutes. The beach is about 15 minutes away on foot as the crow flies. That was fine for us in good weather, though being near everything might matter more to some people. The owner was very kind, and the place was quiet and peaceful. Even with 30-degree weather outside, the room stayed cool and pleasant without air conditioning. There was a wardrobe and shelving to unpack into, and both the bedding and bathroom were clean. We could use the kitchen, too. We were welcomed with cake and fruit water, then given a magnet as a goodbye gift :D A little Russian makes communication easy. English was difficult, but Google Translate helped sort things out.
