It's not in the centre or a scenic spot, with town about 4-5 km away, but everyday essentials are right nearby. There are two 24/7 shops within a minute's walk, and the balcony looks over an ordinary neighborhood street toward distant snow-capped mountains. The building I stayed in was across from the main hotel, directly above a 24-hour supermarket. Public areas are huge and clean, though sparse and dark after hours. Getting around is fairly manageable thanks to a lift, but first you have to climb two short flights of stairs to reception level, where the lift begins. Clean, practical, and good value.

The location's a bit away from central Batumi, though there are plenty of markets around and bus #12 stops right across the street for the ride downtown. My room was large, bright, and had an outstanding balcony view. The shower and wi-fi both worked great, and there was a work desk, fridge, and kettle. Front desk is staffed 24/7.

At checkout, the receptionist charged us twice and threatened us, saying we couldn't leave unless we paid 100 lari. Then they asked for another 50 lari. We were also made to pay extra for towel washing.
