Hotel Hills Batumi

The hotel staff were arrogant, rude, unfair, and black-hearted. After I showered one evening, the shower cabin door suddenly exploded and the glass shattered into a million pieces, cutting both my legs in several places. Instead of helping with my injuries or giving me another room, staff said I was responsible and had damaged it on purpose. The glass fragments themselves showed it had burst. I believe it happened because the glass was worn out or under stress. Glass can only shatter like that from tension in the material, and it isn't possible to damage it that way anyway. I've had almost 400 reservations over the past 10 years, and no host has ever complained about my behavior. I just touched the door handle, then it exploded. I had nothing to do with the accident, but the hotel forced me to pay extra for a replacement shower cabin door. It's not about the money, it's about principle. I was injured and needed an early transfer to Mestia, and needed my passport back, but instead of supporting me, they used that situation to force me to pay compensation.

I don't understand the good ratings. I arrived for my reservation and was left in the rain without anywhere to stay. The girl told me to cancel the booking and find somewhere else, right in the middle of a thunderstorm. She said they'd already notified me on Booking that same day, just a couple of hours earlier, while I was traveling without internet. Nobody helped. It was the worst experience of my whole trip. A couple of days later, after I also posted a review on Booking, the same girl threatened that they'd charge my card if I didn't delete it. How can people like this work there?

Worst place ever! We arrived to find the hotel door closed. We called, but no one answered. One time she picked up, said hello, then hung up. We had to cancel and book another hotel. If you're not open, don't let people book, and take the listing off the websites!

Nothing but a joke. The door said they were open and to come in, but it was locked when I got there. I’d found the room online and was nearby, so I thought I could book in person. When I called and said I wanted to stay without a reservation, they hung up on me. Wish I could give zero stars.
