Hotel Landmark

The breakfast buffet was quite good, and the staff were friendly. I had a great stay. The hotel is in a central spot and still feels new, with a modern, classy look.

I spent two hours looking through reviews for a decent mid-range hotel in Batumi, because every option seemed to have some problem. There were plenty of private host, Airbnb-style listings even on Booking, and among all the glowing feedback I found worrying stories about people arriving to construction sites or having their host cancel while they were standing outside. Luxury hotels along the strip also got complaints about booming music keeping people awake until 5 AM in summer. And then there were places with no elevators, no street access, or plumbing trouble. The Landmark had good reviews, and I’m happy to add mine. The price was right, the staff were kind and efficient, the rooms spacious and clean, the Wi-Fi worked well, and breakfast was excellent. It’s quiet, near some good restaurants, and there’s a supermarket next door. I’d read reports about charges for towels and similar things. I couldn’t tell whether those cases were caused by guests or the hotel, but noticed that guests of only a certain nationality seemed to report them. To be safe, I asked at check-in if someone could come to the room and make a video with me. They said that wasn’t needed and told me to enjoy my stay. I took a video of the towels and room condition anyway as a precaution, but never needed it. They kept their word, and I enjoyed my stay.

It had everything I needed for an easy stay: close to the main attractions, family friendly, comfortable, spotlessly clean, new, and well designed. The modern style has a luxury feel for a real four-star hotel, and breakfast was good. Every staff member I met spoke English well. Thank you, Lasha and Anri.

Breakfast was amazing and definitely worth the stay. The rooms were clean, and reception was friendly. I had an excellent time here and would recommend it.
