Hotel Orbi D2

It wasn’t too bad, but there’s a bigger concern. Booking.com is selling rooms that don’t exist in your hotel, or at least that’s what happened to me. They had, or used to have, an office on floor 19, room 52, Block -C. They took my money, scanned my passport for identity theft, sent me in circles, and then stopped answering calls. I want to go back to the “office,” but I need backup because there are three men there. Your City Block benefits from this. People arrive without a room, then ask at reception and pay again, like I did, at five times the price they’d already paid.

The biggest drawbacks are the crowds and noise. Lobbies are clean but can get packed, and elevators in Block D may be slow at busy times. Summer brings street noise, construction, and loud neighbors. Ask for a higher floor or a room away from the street if you want more quiet. Cleanliness varies by host: some apartments are spotless, while others need better cleaning. The shared areas are usually okay, though not perfect. Location is a strong point for ORBI City Blocks D & D2, Batumi. The towers are a short walk from the beach, restaurants, shops, and Batumi Boulevard, and the area feels safe at night. Many rooms look out over the sea. The buildings look modern outside, and Block D2 seems newer and a little better maintained. Apartments are mostly studios with small kitchens. Some are equipped well, others are basic, so check the photos before booking. Wi-Fi is usually good. Some rooms include washing machines, air conditioning, and smart TVs. There’s no gym or pool in the building, but there are options nearby. Reception may not be much help if you’ve booked through a private host. Some hosts are great, while others can be hard to reach. English is spoken, but not by everyone. Prices vary a lot and can get expensive in high season, though the location and view can make the price worthwhile, especially in Block D2. Confirm the booking details with your host, ask for photos and the exact location inside the building, and bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise. Towels, soap, and toilet paper aren’t always included, so check on those too. It’s a comfortable, central choice for a short stay or vacation, especially if you like the beach and exploring the city, but don’t expect luxury.
