After our stay, we found that the hotel had posted 10/10 reviews on Booking.com using our names, without asking us. They photographed our booking details at check-in and used them to access our accounts. The reviews all have suspiciously perfect 10/10 scores, which seems to be standard practice here. The ground-floor rooms smelled of sewage, and there was no soundproofing, so reception noise carried straight into the rooms. Staff played Instagram videos at full volume late at night, then their loud conversations from 6:30 AM woke us. The rooms were barely acceptable. The identity fraud and disregard for guest privacy and rest make this hotel completely unacceptable. Do NOT stay here.

I’ve lived here for seven months and love it. It’s a good budget option for a longer stay, with the sea and a bus stop 50 meters away, and five chain stores within 100 meters. A ride by bus to central Batumi costs 30 tetri, and Boni Grand Bazaar is walkable too. Cable TV has seven sports channels and 30 Russian-language movie channels.

The manager was a really nice, helpful guy, and he arranged our airport transfer. The hotel is close to the city beach, where sunbeds can be rented for 5 lari each. Breakfast is included, Georgian-style, with plenty to eat. I highly recommend this place.

I booked through Booking.com and didn't like this hotel at all. They asked me to pay the full amount when I checked in, and I did. After that, they canceled my Booking.com reservation and claimed I had canceled it myself at the last minute, which is why Booking.com reserved my account. The staff were too familiar and unprofessional. I wonder what the Azerbaijani tax authorities would make of this kind of business.

A five-minute walk gets you to the sea, and the hotel isn’t right by a busy highway. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are all within walking distance, and a taxi makes it easy to get to Batumi. The rooms were clean and had air conditioning, a balcony, and everything we needed apart from a kettle. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty and up to standard, served as a mini buffet. Good value for money.
