The staff are warm and the hotel works well for families or someone traveling alone. The mountain-to-sea view is stunning, and the building itself is lovely. Getting there is the downside: the road climbs the mountain, and it’s narrow and unpaved.

A welcoming team and a nice place to stay.

My room had its own shower and toilet, and parking was available. I booked the cheapest overnight option I could find in Kvariati on Booking.com, and the price-to-quality balance was great. The staff were warm and friendly too. There's an expensive eatery nearby that's perfectly acceptable, though it puts on airs as a restaurant. The hotel doesn't serve beer, perhaps that might change by 2025. There's space for it, and a poolside bar would make sense. Honestly, please don't book here, or it might get too popular and I won't be able to stay again.

The setting is lovely, with a good location and beautiful views, and we really enjoyed our stay overall. The food was tasty with generous portions, though grilled dishes like shashlik were rarely available. They seem to cook those for feasts. A lot of smaller problems added up. Housekeeping only came if we asked, despite Booking.com listing daily cleaning. In the evenings the lights flickered badly, then sometimes went out altogether. We had to wash using a phone flashlight more than once. As I understand it, they couldn't resolve the issue, and it wasn't fixed during our two weeks. When power went out at night, it stayed off until morning, when someone reset it on the first floor. I asked about it and was told they'd fix it if they weren't asleep, but it was 10 PM and nothing happened. There were moths all over the ceiling, floor, and bed, with no mosquito net to keep them out. We were told there'd be soap, but none was in the room because they had run out. Wi-Fi seemed to work only in the kitchen. The description mentioned a sauna, but it was still being built. Some rooms apparently have TVs, though ours may have been the cheapest and didn't. There was a wire coming out of the wall that I think was for a TV, not that we needed one. The room got stuffy at night, so they gave us a fan, thanks for that, though it didn't help when the power was out. This isn't meant to hurt the hotel's reputation. I hope management takes notice of these issues and sorts them out.

The hotel is especially worth considering if you have a car. We could explore the area and head to Batumi when we wanted, where there are plenty of things to do, including a promenade, park, and water park. The kids were bored here, though. The location itself is lovely, with fresh air and striking views of both sea and mountains. Everyone was welcoming and treated guests like family. There's a free shuttle, free Wi-Fi, Russian TV channels, and they can provide a local SIM card. It's a long walk to the sea, but they'll drive you there and back for free. The meals were repetitive, and since they cook individually for each guest, service took a long time. We picked this hotel over Zura because of the playground, but it turned out to be completely useless. The pool water was cold, and my child got sick right after swimming, with a runny nose for the rest of the holiday. Still, I'd recommend staying here, especially if you're driving.
