MITE Hotel

I was told the hotel had rooms for rent, but that turned out not to be true. I first saw a large sign saying “Rooms for rent” and asked the woman at the nearby shop about it. She happily said yes, then called for Lena, who came over from the building next door. When I asked Lena directly, she said they only rent rooms in summer. The whole exchange left me feeling misled. Lena, that wasn’t a very welcoming way to handle it.

The noise made it hard to feel settled. You could hear everything, almost as if you were sleeping outside, and other guests were running and shouting around the hotel at night with nobody stepping in. Twice, someone came to our room at night and tried the handle as if they were entering their own home. Thankfully, we had locked the door. The room was also filthy: dust everywhere, very dirty floors, and mold and hair in the bathtub. We were exhausted when we arrived and didn’t inspect it closely at first. I regret not taking photos, since I could have attached them here. I’d give this hotel minus 10.

The hosts were very welcoming, and there’s parking at this small, cozy hotel in Chakvi. It opened in 2022, so everything in the rooms is new. The place is in a quiet area, with lovely mountain views from the balcony and the botanical garden nearby.

The beach was an easy 7-10 minute walk, and there was a shop and playground close by. Outside, there’s a gazebo with a barbecue and everything needed for a nice holiday. We stayed from July 19 to July 29, 2022, and were completely satisfied. The hotel is new, clean and beautiful, and the owner is available around the clock to help with questions.
