Getting around was a hassle. The route to the beach took about 15-20 minutes along paths and bushes, rather than the advertised seven, and the beach was stony even though the owners had said it was sandy. The road was broken and hard to follow, with construction all around, so a taxi was the only convenient way to get there. Even the drivers had trouble finding the place. It's also a fair way from Batumi, where I think you could find somewhere better for the same price. The room had no hot water at times, smelled of sewage, and in the mornings there was a lingering smell of chlorine and fried food. It wasn't cleaned during our four-night stay. There was also a power cut the next day, which affected the whole area but still put a damper on the holiday. Breakfast wasn't tasty, and the cafe next door was cheaper and better. One more thing: when booking through Booking.com, they cancel your reservation without asking so they can keep the commission. It might suit someone on a tight budget, but I wouldn't choose it again.

The room was clean and had a nice view, though it was a little small. It’s a quiet place with plenty of empty parking spaces, and there’s a washing machine, but no kitchen. You’ll need a car because it’s some distance from the city centre. The road to the hostel is in terrible condition.

There’s a handy path down to the sea right beside the hotel, and the sea views from the balcony and rooftop were amazing. We really enjoyed staying here as a family. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and everything was set up thoughtfully for a relaxing stay. The hosts were warm and friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with them. We’d love to come back.
