ORBI CITI Block C

The elevators were a real problem. The building is huge and full of guests, but several lifts weren’t working, so waits could get long, especially at busy times. We also couldn’t get fresh towels after asking, and our request to change to two separate beds was turned down. The booking site hadn’t given us a way to select the bed setup beforehand. The service and stay as a whole didn’t meet our expectations.

The 37th-floor view was stunning, easily the best part of staying here. Everything else fell short. The sheets were visibly dirty when we arrived and weren’t changed, the towels hadn’t been washed, and used toiletries weren’t replenished. Staff were dismissive and inflexible. We asked for an early breakfast before our 8 AM train, but they refused without suggesting anything else. For a place charging a premium partly for its views and location, the cleanliness and service were far below what I’d expect. I’ll remember the view, and the rest of the stay too.

It was inexpensive and fairly clean, but the fridge and hairdryer didn’t work. When we needed help, no one seemed available. Reception said we had to contact the owner, who didn’t help. We’d paid extra for breakfast with the reservation, but the receptionist said there was no breakfast. A disaster.

It’s a large building with apartment-style hotel rooms, and room condition and equipment can differ. Most have a sea view. I think it’s a decent budget choice in the off-season. The apartments are small, sound insulation is poor, and there aren’t many elevators.
