We were six in the family, four adults and two teenagers, and had booked four rooms. They put us on floors ranging from the 9th to the 42nd instead of together. At first one teenager was alone on the 42nd; only after we complained was he moved to the 13th. Check-in was a mess. There’s no proper hotel front desk, and reception told us to call the individual apartment owner. The lobby had no Wi-Fi and was packed with people. There was no parking, and traffic outside was terrible. The elevators barely worked and couldn’t cope with the crowds. People queued for over an hour. After traveling all day, we had to carry heavy bags and hungry children up to the 42nd floor on foot. It took about 40 minutes. The emergency stairs seemed dangerous: unfinished, with crumbling tiles, falling debris, and exposed walls. The main stairwells only went down to floor 4, leaving one confusing staircase to the exit. I can’t see how evacuation would work in a fire or earthquake. The upper floors were also unfinished, abandoned construction areas with open windows and no security, including dangerous drops anyone could approach. Our rooms were very dirty and poorly maintained. Curtains were broken, wall clocks didn’t work, and kitchen utensils were missing. There were ants everywhere. The high-floor balconies felt frighteningly unsafe. There was no guest service, and staff couldn’t reach us because of the broken elevator situation. For safety, comfort, and peace of mind, avoid this place. It ruined the vacation.

The walls were so thin that we could hear conversations and noise from neighboring rooms, making it hard to relax. We stayed in Block A, and the atmosphere around Block C didn’t feel family-friendly. I noticed what seemed like suspicious activity, including prostitution, especially late at night. Our room was spacious, but service was poor. A request for a clean duvet was ignored, then the bathtub leaked across the bathroom floor. Staff were rude when we reported it, and it took nearly four hours to move us. That delay meant I couldn’t shower properly or go out and enjoy the city on my last night in Batumi. The price also went up unexpectedly by 70 GEL when we arrived, and the admin staff were rude and unhelpful when I asked why. I wouldn’t recommend Orbi City Hotel because of the service, staff, and uncomfortable setting.

The room felt smaller than I expected, and the lack of proper curtains made light control difficult. More room space and blackout curtains would help with comfort and privacy.

I was on floor 46 in a 47-floor building, so the view was a treat. The bed was comfortable, the Wi-Fi was good, and I liked the balcony. It’s close to supermarkets and restaurants, with a cork cafe on the 1st floor. Courtyard by marriott is a 7-minute walk away, and Piazza square takes 20-25 minutes on foot. Communication from the owner could be clearer and friendlier. The curtains also let in a lot of daylight. Still, I thought it was good value for money, and it’s worth a try.
