Piazza Boutique Hotel

The setting was beautiful and really peaceful, and everyone we met was wonderful. Nika, our waiter, was amazing. One of the best experiences I’ve had.

Breakfast doesn't start until 8, which was too late for us to catch our train, so we missed it. Getting into the hotel takes some figuring out too: reception serves all the hotels and is on the ground floor of Piazza Four Colours. Once there, check-in and check-out were easy. Our ninth-floor room was clean, with a bathroom jet spray and other amenities. It had two balconies facing opposite sides of the tower. With just two rooms per floor, it was quiet. The location was excellent, close to the city's main attractions.

The room had no duvet or blanket set out. I found a folded duvet in the cupboard in the middle of the night, but it was dirty and stained when I opened it. I just waited for the night to pass, left the key at reception, where nobody was around again, and went. I regretted booking this for my birthday. It’s a lovely looking hotel in a great spot, close to nearly everything, but the entrance was a real ordeal. The door was locked and the only way in was through the main square, which is crowded and seems to have live music, events, or programs going on all the time. Nobody was there to help, and after finally finding the entrance, there was no one at the check-in desk either. I had to walk over to another hotel building to check in, then come back. Breakfast was included, but the restaurant is small with only a few tables, and the hotel was packed. I eventually spotted a staff member in black near the restaurant. I said good morning and smiled, but he looked me up and down, walked away, and ignored me when I followed and called after him. There’s only one lift, so it’s lucky if you find room in it. There are parties and events through the night, so it’s not somewhere to go for a quiet night. If all you need is a place to crash and you want to be near everything, you could consider it.

Had a really good time here with friends. The waiters were so friendly, especially Nika, who was my favorite.
