Seaside Studio Apt Balcony in Batumi Center

The location was the one good thing, but this was a stressful and disappointing stay, especially with family. The listing made it sound like a hotel, though it wasn’t managed like one. There was no proper reception for our booking, and without a block number or clear check-in directions, we had to walk between several buildings. When we finally found reception, they wouldn’t help and sent us to a private apartment owner instead. On arrival, someone also asked us to pay in cash, which felt very unprofessional. Breakfast was part of our booking, but we never received it. Reception redirected us to the host, who couldn’t be reached. The room smelled strongly unpleasant and wasn’t clean. That didn’t match the description or the star rating advertised online.

We enjoyed the stay, partly because the price was really low compared with other places in Batumi, and the beach was close by. We mostly just slept in the room, so there wasn’t much to complain about. The studio had everything we needed and a breathtaking view. It’s a hotel complex where you rent an apartment, not a full hotel. We were on floor 20 and reception was on floor 15. When we needed something, we went down to reception. We had to clean the room and take out the garbage ourselves. It’s a regular rented flat where you look after yourself, so if you want posh service, choose somewhere like Sheraton. A local lady brought breakfast to our room each morning. It was tasty and balanced, sometimes with extras like homemade cake, and she was very polite and friendly. We also washed all our white clothes once and the towels another time.

They cheat you in room 3206. We agreed on a price before arriving, but when it was time to leave, they held onto my luggage and wouldn’t give it back until I paid double 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

The room and the view were good during my stay in August 2023, but the service was awful. The area is really congested right now. Maybe it’ll look nice once all the development is finished in 20 years.
