Family house

We picked this place on Booking.com because of its star ratings, and were glad we did. The stay was lovely, and the owners were friendly and helpful. They pointed us to Poria, a restaurant about 20 km from Borjomi that's popular with locals. The food was so good, the taxi fare may be worth it, and the prices seemed aimed at local customers rather than tourists. It's at WF8J+PXC, Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale, Akhaldaba. The accommodation is centrally located but quiet. A path past lots of souvenir stalls takes about 10 minutes to reach the main spring, though it was closed for repairs when we were there. The cable car ride is very short and costs €5 per person, which felt like a tourist trap. A nice path starts right beside it and takes you uphill in about 15-20 minutes on foot, over roughly 1 km. Our ground-floor room had its own entrance, a good shower, refrigerator, kettle, and air conditioner that worked well. Everything was very clean. The shared kitchen and dining area next door felt new and cozy. We could park right in front of the house or around 15 meters farther along the wall. There's also a small shop beside the accommodation, run by Mama Tanja, a woman of German descent and a real businesswoman. Thank you, we loved staying with you!

The hosts were great, and the place feels unique. It's close to the park. I recommend it.
