Gori Inn

The spa and wellness area was a highlight, with clean, modern facilities that were great for relaxing after a day out. I especially liked the large pool and three jacuzzis. The hotel also has a pleasant mountain view, which made for a calm welcome. Breakfast was simple, fresh, and tasty, with the basics I wanted. I also enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting, a nice touch of Georgian character. Gori Inn Hotel made for a comfortable, relaxing getaway in Gori, with good amenities and warm hospitality.

The staff were attentive and friendly, and seemed sincerely focused on guest comfort. The hotel is listed as 5-star, but I don’t think it lives up to that. The rooms are very small, and the breakfast lacks the quality and variety I’d expect at that level. The pool and sauna being on different floors was a real inconvenience. To get from the pool to the sauna, you have to go out into the hallway, pass the restaurant, and take the elevator down another floor.

Nothing here stood out to me, and I don’t see how the hotel can be considered 5-star. My room showed 31°C and was really hot. I tried changing the temperature on the panel, but it did nothing. When I asked the front desk, they said they weren’t turning on the AC because of the weather and might switch it on in about two weeks. That didn’t help much while I was sitting in such a hot room. The wine tasting was okay, and the guys running it were great, but the wine itself wasn’t good. This definitely didn’t feel like a 5-star stay.

The restaurant "circus" in the same building was very good, with fair prices and tasty food. The pool and hot tub were nice, though a bit crowded. Rooms were clean, but the bathrooms could use an update. Breakfast was okay for choice, but the juices tasted really bad. It was a nice stay, though I wouldn’t say it meets 5-star hotel criteria.
