Svetlana Guest House

I stayed the night of 15th to 16th August, and for the last 24 hours I've been suffering badly with bites all over my body. A pharmacist finally explained what was happening: bed bugs. I hadn't mentioned anything when checking out that morning because I didn't know their symptoms. I thought the itching and poor sleep were from being tired and the unbearable smell in the room. I was naive, thinking the Middle Ages were over, but this place made me think otherwise. The house was a mess and in awful condition, despite being sold as a "family home." Nobody showed me the kitchen, though seeing it from outside was enough to make it look disgusting. The WC was as dirty as a motorway service station toilet. I've stayed in lots of simple budget places and I'm fine with basic, but this felt like a total scam. In the last few days I'd stayed in other very basic Georgian guest houses at the same or lower price, and they were clean and matched their website descriptions.
