Fifth Season

We only ate at the restaurant, since we weren't staying at the hotel. Before hiking to the lake, we had a very tasty vegetable omelette, pancakes, and coffee, and the food came quickly. The view is gorgeous and the experience left us with a great impression. The omelette was 9 GEL and pancakes were 20 GEL. A 500 ml bottle of water cost 5 GEL, which felt overpriced.

After camping in the valley, I came down after sunset needing somewhere to warm up and charge my phone. The staff were incredibly kind. They helped me work out my hiking route and even offered me hot chocolate without taking any payment. One of the nicest encounters I've had while travelling. Highly recommend!

Getting there takes work: the road to Juta is dirt, and once you arrive there's a fairly steep 1000 m climb to the hotel. But the spectacular view makes it worthwhile. The main building combines reception, the dining room, and a bar. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. We stayed in a private room and woke up to a view like a postcard. Amazing place.

The rooms are warm and cozy, and the views are incredible. The staff are lovely and speak amazing English, and the food is delicious. Loved staying here, definitely recommend it.
