Gudauri Deka Alpine Cottages - Alpine 1 Private house

We liked it so much that we added an extra day to our trip. The rooms were clean, and the common area felt very cozy. The host was sweet, generous, and welcoming. It’s a 5 minute drive from the main slopes. Make sure to try the famous Georgian breakfast she prepares herself. Yummmy, and really filling.

The hotel is only a 4-minute walk from the Gudauri skiing station lift, and the family who runs it are very nice. Everything was perfectly clean, with big, comfortable rooms. Breakfast and dinner came with a wide range of dishes made from very fresh products. The receptionist helped us with every question we had. We booked the sauna too, though it was a bit expensive. It’s an excellent place to sleep during ski season, and I’d certainly come back.

There was a good buffet each morning and evening, with soup, meat, cheese, vegetables, salad, and lots of other food. Tea and coffee were available by request. The owners were good, and the hotel felt safe. It’s not big, but it’s warm, close to the lifts, and has a place to dry things. We really enjoyed our stay.

The family running the hotel were kind and genuine, and I was surprised by how charming the place was. I booked on the same day without expecting much, but found a spacious room, good heating, plenty of towels, and even room service. It made for such a pleasant, relaxing stay that after one day I didn’t want to leave. Thanks to the family!
