This is a hostel-style place with a private bathroom. I wish I'd known that from the start. We were first shown a tiny, very dark room with a faux window. When we pointed that out, the owner's response was, “you are only here for one night...” She eventually gave us another room, but the damage was done. I wouldn't recommend staying here because of the missing and misrepresented amenities. The rooms are super outdated, with uneven, worn laminate floors, very cheap furnishings, moldy caulk in the bathroom, and “stuff” stored in every corner of the hallway and under the stairs. Internet is available, but it goes out often and only the owner can restart it. Good luck if you're in a meeting when it cuts out. Breakfast was a fried egg, a hot dog, grechka, and seasonal fruits. ***Update*** The owner responded to my review very rudely.

The food was great, with a chance to try Georgian specialties, and the owner's homemade wine was superb. It's a nice, cozy place, and the owner is really friendly. Highly recommend.

GIS House has a peaceful feel, and we were welcomed warmly as soon as we came in. Right in the heart of Tbilisi, it combines comfort with traditional charm.

Breakfast was lovely, with something different each day, so it never felt boring 😋. The family made me feel right at home and were so accommodating. Everything you need is close by, within walking distance. Big thanks to them!!!

I felt welcome straight away, and the hosts were kind and happy to help with whatever I asked. It's a small, nice guesthouse, and I'd really recommend staying here.
