Hotel S.R

The people here were kind and gave us privacy, though I wish there had been daily room service. We picked the hotel for its airport proximity, private pool, and nearby metro, but only afterward learned the station wasn't operating. It's a decent place to stay, though quite far from the city and not a tourist spot.

We really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner, especially the homemade Georgian food. The hosts were lovely and the service was high quality. They gave our family a marvelous welcome at this very good guesthouse. I recommend it.

I felt less like I was staying in a hotel than visiting family. We spent five nights at this family-run place, and Aunt Annya was still up when we arrived. She welcomed us with coffee, cherries, and chocolate. Before that, Aro ( Armen) had met us at the airport around midnight, carried our big bags, and even stopped at a supermarket so we could get fruit, despite the late hour. The hotel was about 10 minutes away. He also sorted out a SIM card, brought it to the hotel, and activated it, all without extra fees. Aro and Aunt Annya helped us with whatever we needed, from the PCR test during our Covid-19 stay to getting around the main attractions. Just text them. Little Alex ( 3 Years old) was another sweet part of the stay, always active and running around the hotel. The breakfast was a real highlight, especially for anyone looking for HALAL food. It can be hard to find Georgian traditional food that's Halal, since much of it is made with meat and chicken, but Aunt Annya made wonderful Halal meals. We tried fine dining and traditional restaurants too, yet the hotel's breakfast was special, with lots of variety and enough to keep us full until late at night. When we came back hungry, we sometimes asked for dinner, which cost Euro 3,5/person, and never regretted it. The food was just wow. The station is only a 2-minute walk away.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the price was reasonable. The shower was good too, and the place worked well for my 6AM flight. The airport transfer cost $10.
