The hotel is quiet and very clean, and the staff are friendly.
The owners' attitude toward ordinary guests was unpleasant to see. The staff were rude, and the woman serving food, who seemed childlike, had a disgruntled expression every day. The young owners were aggressive with guests and even started a fight with other guests on their second day. I paid for a vacation, but felt like I was in someone's home and wasn't welcome. Half our group felt the same way. We chose this hotel for the pool, but it couldn't be fixed for a week and the water was green. Many children were poisoned, with diarrhea or even rotavirus. Then the owner's brother arrived, and they immediately found some kind of machine and spent the whole day cleaning the pool.
We stayed as a family in June 2025 and loved it. The staff were always polite and friendly, like a real family. I already want to come back, and hope the hotel prospers. Maryam, we miss you ❤️❤️❤️ The sea is just 100 meters away, and its beauty, especially the sunsets, is something special. The rooms are modest, but for me being near the sea matters most. Each has a fridge, air conditioning, shower, TV, and Wi-Fi. It's a quiet, cozy place for a family break away from city noise. The buffet has a small selection, but the food is always fresh and delicious. You can also order from the room or pool terrace, with the menu at reception. I wish there were a gym, or at least a little area by the pool with a pull-up bar 🥇🥇🥇 For outings, I'd recommend Makhuntseti Waterfall and Queen Tamar's bridge, the unusual Shekvetili Arboretum, and Petra Fortress. Minibuses or buses go into Kobuleti center, where there's a market.
The place is quiet, in a pine forest, about 500 meters from the sea, and the air conditioning works well. You can leave it running if you like. Getting to the center of Kobuleti is easy enough: a minibus comes every 10-20 minutes and costs 0.70 lari. The beach is pebbly and not my favorite, though not too sloppy. Walking is possible, but a pain if you need a wheelchair. The outside looks pretty good, with a nice lobby, outdoor pool and loungers, a large elevator, a lovely staircase, and a pleasant smell. The rooms were terrible, though: old furniture, shabby broken doors, broken items, nowhere to hang clothes, and a TV smaller than my laptop, maybe 13 inches. Room cleaning is only on request. My requests to fix a faucet that leaked from all its holes and a broken light went unnoticed. (( Only one nice girl understood Russian and English. The men didn't understand a word))) Breakfast was repetitive: sausages and omelettes, dumplings, pancakes with cottage cheese, or meat pancakes. There was also butter, one kind of cheese, and sauces. The instant coffee disappeared a couple of days after we arrived, leaving only tea. Lunch was okay, with chicken or beef as the main dish. Dinner had no meat at all, just pasta and cheese, rice, or potatoes... It's okay if you're an undemanding tourist who just needs a bed for the night. Spend a little money improving the hotel and it could be a model of affordable, quality vacations.
