Irise Hotel

Such a lovely place.

You’re welcomed warmly as soon as you arrive, and I’m grateful for how kind everyone was, even though I didn’t catch all their names. Our triple room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. There’s a pool and plenty of terrace space upstairs and downstairs. Breakfast was filling and tasty, and the 20 lari lunch was good too, especially the soups. The hotel is in central Kobuleti, with markets, pharmacies, cafes, a deli, and the sea just across the street, about a five-minute walk.

The sea view from the top-floor dining room is great, and the food included in the room price was delicious. There’s also a relaxing spot on the third floor with chairs, tables, and a rocking chair. Rooms have air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and the hotel looks out over the Black Sea. Six out of five.

We were there July 16-30, in central Kobuleti across from city hall. Getting to the sea took around 5-10 minutes on foot. The beach is pebbly, with some fairly large rocks in the water. Our room was spacious, with a proper bed for each person, and housekeeping and linen changes were excellent. Breakfast came with the stay: tea, coffee, porridge, different eggs, sausages, several cold cuts, and one kind of pastry or cookie. It was the same each day, but there was always something to choose from. Lunch was a tasty set menu at 20 GEL per person. There’s also a pool under a canopy, so the water stays relatively cool. Dali, the hostess, was warm and attentive, and you can arrange a transfer to the hotel.
