Guest House Coffee

The rooms were fine for the price, and the location worked well. The host seemed friendly at first, but as two women traveling alone, we didn't feel comfortable. He tried to get us drunk on his homemade wine and didn't respect our boundaries.

David and his mother were great hosts, and I had a really good guesthouse experience in Georgia. The room was comfortable, though a bit cold during my March stay. There are two shared bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower. We spent a lovely afternoon drinking David's homemade wine and making toasts. He's a driver and tour guide, very knowledgeable, and had lots of good suggestions for places elsewhere in Georgia. If I'd stayed longer, I would have explored the area with him.

Cool bananas! We stopped here in 2019 during our overland trip from Germany to Georgia in the Kuga, and what a great little place. The owners were really friendly, the price was good, and it was close to the town center. Our double room was clean, with a good shower and toilet. Parking was easy, just below the room, and we even ran a cable to plug in our car fridge overnight. Thanks!

The location is close to the center, and the husband was kind enough to share his homemade wine, though he wasn't around much. The rest of our stay went badly. We cooked for ourselves and cleaned the plates, pan and stove, but the hostess seemed annoyed. After we made eggs the next day, she came into our room a minute after we'd cleaned up to complain that a plate still had egg on it. It was soap, but she wouldn't accept that, and left angrily before we could offer to wash it again. When we checked out at 11, we sat chatting with a few other guests. A minute after paying, while we were still at the table, she yelled, “IT'S MY HOUSE, GET OUT!!!” and made us leave for no reason, even though another guest who had checked out was allowed to stay. My girlfriend, the other guest and I were stunned. I wouldn't recommend this place if you don't want someone barging into your room or being thrown out.
