Mamuka and Tamta kept making room for us when we needed to extend our stay at short notice, and it felt like they truly cared. My parents stayed there too after flying over, and spoke so highly of the welcome, the cleanliness, the comfort, and the location. I also stayed there after leaving hospital and can't praise the hospitality enough. I first arrived in an ambulance from Mestia after a brain haemorrhage caused by falling off a cliff, and was taken to the hospital next door. My friend, who'd been travelling with me, needed somewhere to stay with almost no notice after we'd been travelling from 2am to 7am. The hostel owners answered his early morning call and gave him a place that day. He was shaken by what had happened, and Mamuka comforted him while I was in hospital. Thank you, Mamuka and Tamta. We'll never forget how you helped us. We were lucky to meet such wonderful people. Hope Zazaar and Nina are doing well. I miss Louis the dog a lot. Francis

The hosts are a lovely, friendly family who went out of their way to help, and the old building has a lot of charm. The location worked well, about 5-10 minutes from downtown, with a good, inexpensive restaurant around the corner. But the bathroom smelled of sewage, and it was noisy from traffic, other guests, slamming doors, and a leaf blower in the garden. The doors don't block sound. I left after the first night. Maybe it wouldn't bother someone who turns in early, but on holiday I like to sleep in.

We had a lovely stay at this guesthouse. The host was kind and really helpful, and both the room and kitchen had everything we needed. The backyard was so peaceful.
