Hostel Relax

The owner was hostile from the moment I arrived. The price she gave me didn’t match the online price, and when I asked about the difference, she said it looked different on her internet. She demanded that I pay right away or leave, saying there were plenty of other hostels, and threatened to raise the price if I kept asking questions, even about seeing the bathroom. She eventually pushed me out through the door. There’s another hostel across the street at similar prices with friendly staff. I’d go there instead.

Really cheap, and it was always clean. It’s a cosy hostel right in the city centre. The woman there is nice, always offering tea, suggesting places to visit, and helping arrange a taxi to the airport. If you’re going to complain about things, maybe a hotel would suit you better.

We booked for two people through hostelworld, but when we arrived the woman insisted the price was only for one. Another guest who had booked earlier ran into the same thing and had to pay double. She was shouting and rude, and got physically violent with me. She also went into a room where people were staying and told them what to do. It was a disaster. I’d never go back, and I can’t call this a hostel.

A lovely atmosphere, and only about 100 metres from the centre. The host was the nicest I’ve ever met. I had everything I needed and will definitely come back.
