Hotel Continental

We liked the breakfast and the lovely backyard beside the dining room. The hotel is outside the town center, and while the room was okay, the shower had weak pressure. A friend mentioned an old smell in their room, though opening the window seemed to help. When we first arrived, the staff seemed confused and not very professional, but we ended up enjoying the facilities.

We felt safe in the neighborhood, even though the blocks of flats around the hotel were in need of renovation. We explored Kutaisi on foot and got a sense of everyday life there. Our family room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and quick to help: they looked into car rentals for us and sorted out a small bathroom leak. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of dishes, sandwiches, drinks, and juices. There was also a nice garden at the back with wooden tables and chairs. We recommend the hotel.

We stayed just one night. The bed was comfortable, and the room had what we needed for a short visit. There was some noise at night from traffic outside. The person in charge was friendly and gave us a few suggestions for places to eat. Breakfast was tasty and made just for us. I'd recommend it for a short stay.

The staff were helpful, but otherwise we liked nothing about the place. Our group of eight booked four rooms, and every one had problems: water leaks, a dripping AC, bugs, poor cleanliness, and very poor maintenance. There's no elevator, which wasn't mentioned on Booking, and the hotel is four floors high. We stayed from June 24 to 26.
