Kutaisi Globus Mini-Hotel

We've stayed at Hotel Globus in Kutaisi for at least one night on every trip to Georgia since our first visit in 2015, and our latest stay was just a week ago. What made such a difference was the personal help, even before my friends, colleagues, and I arrived. George is always ready to assist with just about anything, from arranging airport transport and booking dinner to checking whether monuments are available, contacting drivers, or printing flight tickets when we're in a hurry. The hotel is comfortable, clean, well equipped, and very nice, but the care and kindness made our trips much easier and more pleasant. I can't recommend Hotel Globus more highly. George is what really sets Globus apart. When a taxi driver tried to rip us off on arrival, he stayed calm and helped sort it out. He even took our friends to the airport very early in the morning. We first stayed three nights while our friends stayed one, then returned after visiting Tbilisi and booked another night. George welcomed us back warmly. When we asked about a ride to the airport, he gave us his price, but once he heard our departure time, he recommended a cheaper taxi and booked it for us. We trusted him completely and would have been fine paying more, which says a lot about him. The rooms were well equipped, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were great. We'll definitely stay at Globus next time we're in Kutaisi.

A small, pleasant hotel with a hospitable owner and a very good English speaker as host. Compared with the four other hotels on my trip through Kutaisi, Tbilissi, Gyumri, and Yerevan, it was the best in its price range of 20-50 €. Better equipped than usual too. A great base for exploring western Georgia.

It's a decent hotel near the city center, but there aren't good restaurants close by. For those, you'd need to head toward shota rustaveli avenue. There's a hospital next door and a small restaurant across the street. I paid 60 GEL with breakfast included, which was very simple: a piece of kachapuri, bread, an omelette, and coffee. It didn't feel worth 60 lari to me.
