Medico and Suliko Guest House

The owner is very sweet and offers food, but sometimes she asked questions that felt a bit much, like why I was late and what I’d been doing, or told me to be back before 10. I came on vacation, not to stay at my granny’s house. Still, it was okay. The place is cozy, though the dorm room was a little messy. I’d recommend it if you’re sociable and in the mood for a chat.

Maybe it isn’t the fanciest guest house you’ll ever see, but staying at Medico & Suliko's Guest House made my trip to Georgia feel worthwhile right from the start. Their generosity, warmth, closeness, and humanity really amazed me. It was such a special experience 🤍❤️🤍

We stayed for a couple of days two years ago, and it’s still one of the most enjoyable places I’ve stayed anywhere. Georgian guesthouses are a real treat, and this one is a gem. It’s like visiting your favorite aunt and uncle. They’ll make sure you eat delicious food and drink wine. Suliko pretty much wrestled me down to the basement to smoke cigarettes and drink wine from his old horn. Not luxurious by any stretch, but awesome. 10/10, I’d stay again.

The place is cozy and sociable, with a terrace, laundry available, hot water, working Wi-Fi, and two adorable kittens. The location is excellent, and the hospitality from Mediko and Suliko may be the best I’ve experienced so far. They’re warm, welcoming, and generous, and make you feel like family. Suliko is a charismatic Georgian host who’ll often invite you for wine, and maybe something stronger, if you enjoy a few glasses. I had a really enjoyable stay and would recommend it 100%.
