You can see the city from the terrace, since the hostel is across the river. It’s also very quiet. The center is about a 10-15 minute walk, depending on where you’re headed and your pace. The rooms are simple and unpretentious, so keep in mind this is a budget place, not a luxury stay. I thought it was good value, and the friendly, helpful owner really made a difference. Some busy roads run through the center, so staying there might mean keeping the windows shut at night, even when it isn’t very hot. I wouldn’t enjoy that.
