Gela was a super nice and helpful host. He only speaks Georgian and Russian, but Google Translate came in handy. There’s a washing machine and a shared kitchen for cooking. The guesthouse is an easy walk from the city center, with a nice garden to relax in, though there may be bugs. The rooms are basic but okay, and the mattress wasn’t great for my back.

Gela and his family are friendly, and I ended up having dinner and wine with them. The rooms are very quiet and just a short walk from the town center and a few museums. They’re set in the garden, where you can step outside and sit in the cool shade. There’s a little shop less than 300m away. The room had its own toilet and shower, soap was provided, the linen and towels were clean, and the bed was big and comfortable. There’s a TV too, though I never turned it on.

The owners were super friendly and treated us nicely. They even gave us a lift to a local winery. We enjoyed dinner on the terrace, then breakfast in the shade of one of the many garden trees. A lovely place to stay.

It’s not far from the Kindzmarauli plant, but the accommodation quality leaves a lot to be desired. There’s a damp smell and cockroaches, and hot water is a problem.

The owners were very helpful and their hospitality delighted us. It’s a great place with a pleasant atmosphere. We wholeheartedly recommend it.
