We ended up at Kiwi quest house after our taxi driver took us there when we asked for a hostel in Lagodeghi, and it turned out to be a really nice surprise. The family running it were so friendly, and we felt welcome the entire time. We stayed two nights, did the three day hike in the mountains in between, and could leave our extra things at the hostel while we were away. The rooms were clean and comfortable. On both evenings they served a big dinner for the guests, with everyone sitting together at one table. There was plenty to eat, and it tasted great.

The garden is pleasant, and the view from the road is beautiful. The woman who runs the place speaks very little English, but she was helpful with arranging taxis wherever we needed to go. She didn’t know the waterfall trails were closed, though, so contact the tourist office if you need walking information. Dinner was very nice, but cost an extra 20 GEL, and breakfast also came at an additional charge. There are many rooms. The cheaper ones weren’t very comfortable, though I imagine the more expensive rooms may be nicer. The location itself is good.

I had a great time during my nights here. The food was good, prices felt very fair, and it’s a great guesthouse. If you’re planning to hike in the Lagodechi protected area, they have all the information you need. I’d definitely recommend it.

The host is lovely, and the food is always fresh and tasty. It’s right by both the national park and the city center, making this the best place to stay in Lagodekhi.

This was the worst place I’ve stayed. The room was freezing, and even the so-called hot water was cold. There was no wifi or breakfast. My boyfriend and I got sick from the cold. Never again!!!
