We booked guesthouse kamelia for August at least ten days ahead. The night before we were due to arrive, the manager texted to cancel, saying they had a birthday and couldn't host us. After that, they stopped responding to our messages. Very unprofessional.
The owner was so friendly, and the fresh fruit straight from the orchard was the best. An amazing Georgian guesthouse.
The hospitality was amazing, and the food was delicious, made with products from their own garden. The rooms were roomy, clean, and comfortable. The house looks like it belongs on a postcard, and it's even better in person than in the pictures. Highly recommend!
A place worth visiting while you're staying in Martvili.
It feels like being at home, thanks to the hosts and the warm atmosphere. They made hearty, delicious breakfasts and dinners, and treated us to homemade wine and cognac. When we asked, the hostess showed us how to make sulguni, nadugi, and imeruli in a master class. The estate also has a large garden, farm animals, and a 300-year-old linden tree in the courtyard. It's much more than just a hotel.
