The balcony has lovely views, and the accommodation is simple. The photos and low price set expectations, so nothing about it was a surprise. We were given a huge breakfast, and on the morning we had to leave early, Dodo packed a breakfast lunchbox for our marshrutka. My husband and I only know a few Georgian words, hello, goodbye, and thank you, but we managed with gestures and Dodo's few English phrases. After leaving, my husband realized he'd forgotten his wedding ring in the bathroom. I got in touch with Dodo as soon as I noticed, and she has been kindly arranging to get it back to Australia. That kind of extra effort leaves a really good impression.

Quiet and cozy, and for the price I think it’s worth it, even though it’s not a luxury apartment. The breakfasts are simple and fine. One inconvenience is that you have to go outside the main building to reach the WC.

The room and bed both sloped downward, and the host didn’t speak English. It’s a basic, cheap guesthouse in central Mestia, and breakfast was okay. When the host got confused about the money we’d paid, she wouldn’t let us leave until we paid more. In the end, her husband threatened us.
