Guesthouse Venera

The host is kind and attentive, the price is reasonable, and everything is within walking distance.

The room was basic, so don't expect anything fancy, but it was clean and spacious, and the central location worked well. I planned on two nights and stayed five. Breakfast is homemade and served at 8:30am, though I’m not sure what it costs. The host was nice, and the room stayed very warm in winter. The shower had hot water right away.

We only spent one night here while travelling from Ushguli to Zugdidi, so there wasn't time to talk with the owner, but the thoughtful facilities gave us a sense of her hospitality. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked for a guesthouse: dishes, utensils, cooking gear, a kettle, electric stoves, microwave, sandwich maker, dish soap, detergent, softener, and even an Air Flyer. Everything was kept clean. There’s also a fridge, dining area, and laundry machine for 5 GEL. Our room was clean and roomy enough for a short stay, with a shared balcony. The place is tucked just around the corner from Just Burger, a one-minute walk to the main street and three minutes to the bus station. Despite that, it was quiet, with a lovely large garden and seating. We’d definitely return to Mestia.

After a few days of hiking and guesthouses, having our own bathroom felt like a real luxury. Room 4 was clean and a good size, with lots of shelves and hooks so we didn't have to live out of our bags. There was also a small private balcony and a large shared terrace. The location is excellent and central. We bought breakfast and a lunchbox from our host, and both were delicious.
