The terrace let the laundry air out well, and the sunlight coming in was lovely, so everything dried quickly. The host kindly let me use the washing machine for free, which finally meant I could get through all the laundry I’d put off during my trip around Georgia. I spent three nights in Mestia, two of them at Hotel Mansarda, and was really happy with my stay. The room was roomy and very clean. There weren’t many other guests while I was there, which surprised me because the place is so clean and well equipped. I kept wondering why it wasn’t busier.

The rooms are lovely, and the view out the window is wonderful. Nelly gave us such a warm welcome. The hotel is new, clean, and well located. There wasn’t breakfast during our stay, but our lovely hostess baked khachapuri and pancakes for us. Tea and coffee were always available, and we could use the kitchen too. A washer and dryer were a big plus, and in winter in Mestia, having a generator matters most.
