Lanchvali paradise

I felt safe and welcome traveling alone, and the host was kind and helpful from start to finish. He shared useful information on local places, ski tour routes, and restaurants, and was always reachable if I had questions. The place is fairly new, so everything felt fresh and clean. My room was cozy and warm, and the quiet at night suited my sensitive sleep. There's a shared room with a tea pot, table for eating or working, big TV, and PlayStation. Restaurants and shops in the city centre are a 5-10 minute walk away. Right beside the guesthouse is a unique local museum in a real 12th-century Svanetian house. The tour there was amusing! The Georgian hospitality people talk about is real. Thanks so much to the host and his family, I had a lovely time and hope to stay again!

I wasn't staying at Murman's hostel, just nearby, but he was extremely kind and helpful, and became a good friend over several months. He's the best host. Wishing him and his family all the best.

Margianis Museum, a 12th-century museum, is right near the guesthouse, and you can even go up into the tower, try traditional Svanetian dishes, and have a great time there. The host is under the ancient tower, with beautiful mountain views.

The views are great, the setting is scenic, the staff are very helpful, and the restaurant serves excellent food. Getting there by car can be tricky because the road is very steep and bumpy with stones, but it's worth it!
