Oxygen Hotel

We found Oxygen Hotel in Shekvetili, about 50 km from Batumi, on the Black Sea. It felt like a little gem. When I think of the sea in Georgia, I usually picture Batumi, with its tall buildings, modern architecture, concrete, crowded beach, stones instead of sand, and not-so-clean water. This place was a much calmer setting. There’s a private entrance to the beach and a small fenced pine forest with hammocks and gazebos, where you can enjoy the sea breeze in peace. It’s a good fit for families with children who want to relax without worrying that they might wander off. The hotel has only a few rooms, more like a small villa, and the rooms are comfortable and clean, with a mini fridge, air conditioning, and a bathroom. The water is very hot, and the shower has new diffusers for relaxing after a day at the beach. The staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, with a good range of food. I especially loved the soups. I expected a little more fish since it’s by the sea, but that was okay. The area isn’t isolated, and there are several mini markets nearby, as well as a dendrological park. They also have a dog, Melissa, who’s the children’s idol!

The location is good and the facilities are well equipped, but the service falls short and the meals are very poor quality. I’d advise avoiding it. I’ve visited twice, and the quality has gone downhill. There’s no point raising a complaint with the manager. The next day, they might not even greet the children in a friendly way.

The team treated us with great care and were very friendly. We had an excellent stay at Oxygen Hotel, really enjoyed it, and will come back. Thanks to everyone!
