The setting is nice and quiet, with great views and a convenient spot just off the Main Street, near all the restaurants. My issue was the owner's attitude. He has quite a temper, and it seemed to come out for no real reason. He couldn't communicate with a non-Georgian, and when he couldn't get his point across, he became aggressive and angry. That's not what you want to deal with on holiday. He needs to calm down and be more respectful and courteous.

The chef made the best food I had in Georgia, and they served me like a king. I was so overfed that I asked for a smaller portion the next day. I felt like I'd hit the jackpot at Hotel ALOFT. It's close to the centre, and the owners are warm and hospitable, going out of their way to make me comfortable and help me enjoy hiking in the region. If I return to Stepantsminda, I'll stay here again. Thank You for having me Nino! All the very best, and I hope to come back the next time I'm in Georgia.

This was a loving experience, and I'm definitely coming back. The property is amazing and run by a father and daughter. People say there's a language barrier in Georgia, but I never felt that once. They welcomed me with coffee, and the father took care of everything I needed. When I told them I was vegetarian and would look for something outside, they offered lentil soup for breakfast.

The manager got angry and aggressive over a towel, accusing us of taking it and nearly turning things into a fight. It completely ruined the day, and I’d tell people to avoid this place. After I posted the review, the manager called and threatened me, saying, “I will find you everywhere.”
