Dato Khetaguri Apartment

I’d planned to stay three nights, but after a disappointing experience yesterday, I’m leaving today. The house is to the south, while the route up the mountain starts to the north, so staying here means a lot more walking each day. That might be fine if you’re young, but at high altitude, when every step feels tiring, think carefully about the location. This morning I hired a car from my accommodation to Gergeti Trinity Church, a total of 6 kilometers. I checked the mileage carefully. The round trip cost 50 Lari, with just a 30-minute stop, which seemed unbelievable. On the mountain I ran into the two boys from Chengdu I’d seen yesterday. They suggested going down together, but the driver said they had to pay again. I asked, “Isn’t this the car I hired?” I was speechless. The two boys refused to pay and prepared to walk down. “Remote and impoverished areas breed unruly people.”
