Elia Loft

Waking up to sunlight on Mount Kazbek from bed was a highlight. The place sits in a small forest, tucked away from the busy village road, with wonderful views. It looked just like the pictures, but we could have used more room for our clothes instead of living out of our suitcase.

Elia Loft sits high up the hill, away from the touristy part of town, so it was peaceful and felt authentic. We loved looking out at Trinity Church and Mount Kazbegi. The location was ideal for us, and the loft had what we needed to stay comfortably. Our host replied quickly and shared useful information, which made everything easy. We had a fantastic time there.

The place was comfortable and well equipped, a nice spot to unwind after a day of walking. From there you get great views of town, the mountains, and Gergeti Church across the way. It's a bit of a climb from the centre, but I would definitely recommend staying here if you don't mind the uphill walk.

We got lucky with snow all over when we visited Kazbegi in late March. The cabin is outside the village, so it feels private and the view is unreal, but you can still walk to the facilities you need. The owner was polite, helpful, and quick to respond. A fabulous experience, don't miss it.
