Misty Mountain Hotel

I've already come back for a second stay. It's a comfortable, cozy hotel in a quiet, peaceful area, about 10 minutes from the city center.

The view was the only part that matched what we expected, and even that was blurred by condensation on the windows. The room was extremely humid. Water collected on the floor in puddles each morning, and there was mould on the curtains and bathroom tiles. We couldn't leave the door open for fresh air because a stray cat came in and hid under the bed until we chased it out. The air was bad, and the bed was probably one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in, with a huge dip in the middle and a loud squeak whenever we moved. Sleeping was impossible, especially with a dog next door barking all night. The toilet flush didn't work properly either. It made such a loud noise that it seemed like the whole building could hear it, and we had to flush several times before it stopped. One bedside lamp was broken, and although tea and coffee were free, the mugs didn't look clean. I'd stay somewhere else. In its current state, this hotel isn't worth a penny.

The owner canceled my reservation at 7 pm on check-in day when I asked, and didn’t charge me anything. The owner and receptionist were both really nice and respectful. I’d booked the basic room for one night, but wasn’t keen on it because there was no view. The nicer rooms were already sold out. The place has been newly refurbished and looks stylish. I’d book earlier next time and try for a room with a terrace.

Loved the design and the smell throughout the hotel, and the view from the room was great. There’s a well-equipped shared kitchen too. Just so you know, the double rooms are on the first floor and the triple rooms are on the second. I’d happily come back, and recommend it.
