We were able to use the kitchen, which was very helpful, and of course cleaned up after ourselves. The hotel was also very clean and well kept, with reliable hot water and a heater that kept the room warm. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help, so we felt welcome throughout our stay. It’s family-friendly and easy to find, and the direct view of the snowy mountains is breathtaking. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere comfortable and pleasant.

The landscape around the hotel was stunning, with rolling hills that felt peaceful and almost cinematic. We sometimes passed horses, cows, and friendly dogs, which added to the charm. The rooms stayed warm and cozy, and hot water was reliable even in winter. We often used the well-kept pantry and shared kitchen on the ground floor to make breakfast and dinner, and the kitchen had all the tools we needed. There’s also a Relax Room on the third floor where you can have wine, watch movies, or unwind. The hotel is close to the center, with restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, and local drugstores easy to reach. We used Bolt to get around, though walking is pleasant in warm weather. We stayed three nights during our trip to Kazbegi and were very happy with the experience. We hope to come back someday.

The peaceful, relaxing atmosphere made our stay at Peak Hotel Kazbegi a wonderful one. We were there with friends, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The mountain views were stunning, and the staff were friendly. I’d recommend the place and would happily visit again.

I really liked the spacious room and its balcony overlooking kazbegi mountain. The location is great, and the relaxing room and kitchen were wonderful too. Such an amazing stay at peak hotel.

The biggest problem was the bathroom smell. When we arrived, the rooms looked new and seemed fine, but later that evening a very strong odor came from the bathroom, like a festival toilet after four days. The plumbing also made a lot of strange noises, so I suspect there may be a plumbing issue. I told the owner, who wasn’t interested in coming to look. They said no one had complained before, nothing could be done, and we could switch rooms in the morning. If it really was the first report, I’d expect them to want to check it. Booking.com reviews made me suspect it’s an ongoing issue they haven’t fixed. At minimum, air freshener or scent spray might help. When I said we’d need to discuss the price in the morning because the room wasn’t worth such a high rate, they refused any adjustment and told us to leave immediately if we didn’t like it. It was 8pm. The next morning there was no apology or attempt to resolve anything. The first thing we heard at breakfast was to pay by cash or card. The issue wasn’t about money. I expected an acknowledgement that a paying guest had been inconvenienced and that the response was inappropriate. We paid in full anyway and checked out a day early. The owner said it wasn’t their problem and seemed uninterested. The hotel was noisy too, though the owners aren’t responsible for other guests shouting and banging doors in the corridor after 11pm. People also watched TV loudly in the upstairs room with its door wide open late at night. Breakfast wasn’t impressive for the alleged 30 GEL price: two cold fried eggs, a couple of pieces of somewhat stale white bread, tomato and cucumber, soggy fried cheese pancakes, and a dollop of yogurt with jam. It wasn’t close to breakfasts we’d had at much cheaper Georgian guesthouses. We’ve been travelling on a budget in Georgia for a couple of weeks and don’t have high standards, but this place isn’t worth its relatively high price. Don’t expect hospitality here. I’d suggest the owner take constructive feedback from guests on board and try to improve instead of taking a “not my problem” or “don’t care” approach.
