The bed was awful, and the thin walls meant we could hear our neighbor snoring. At least it was only snoring. The room was somewhat dirty, though there was hot water and heating. I wouldn’t recommend it. Vasili, the owner, was pushy and greedy: we agreed on a ride to the Truso valley, then he changed the price when we got back. He can be funny, though.

We chose a room without dinner or breakfast, and Vasily complained about that. Later he came into the little cafe while we were eating and shouted at us. The next day, when we took a taxi instead of using his taxi service, he did the same and even wanted to throw us out of our room. I only read the other Trip-Adviser comments about him after we had left, or I would never have stayed. During our three weeks traveling through Georgia, Vasily was the greediest and least friendly person we met. I think he’s a shame for all georgian people. Avoid this place!

We didn’t take breakfast, and the owner can arrange a taxi or a trip to Gergeti for 50 lari. From our little terrace, the mountain view was lovely, and there was a gorgeous Caucasian Shepherd in the yard. The owner let him out in the morning so he wouldn’t disturb guests’ sleep. Our conditions were acceptable: hot water and heating were available, and when we asked, we got two large towels. Still, we were cold at night.
