City Hotel

Great location and helpful staff, with reception open 24 hours. The rooms are clean and recently renovated. We did notice some ants in the suite, though.

A lovely little boutique hotel near the old city, with good breakfast and nice service. Our only disappointment was the view, since the room windows faced an old backyard and looked out on nothing.

Salome on the morning shift was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The other staff on different shifts didn’t provide service at her level. The location is excellent and the price reasonable, but I expected more from a hotel ranked 42 out of 463. We stayed at the City Hotel from March 9th to 11th on a business trip. On the first night our room was poorly laid out, and the receptionist kindly moved us to a better one for the second night. The bed and pillows were terrible, the towels were awkwardly placed, and the furniture badly needs renovation. Breakfast was very poor quality, with little variety. I won’t consider this hotel for future trips to Tbilisi.

The location makes it easy to get around, and the staff were genuinely kind and professional. Mr. Alex and Ms. Salome (apologies if I got the name wrong) especially stood out for how dedicated and proactive they were. I couldn’t learn everyone’s name, but every staff member treated us warmly. Hotel City is clean and simple, and I had a very pleasant stay. It sits in a lively but quiet area, away from city noise and close to everything. Step outside and turn right for the vibrant old town, then it’s under a 10-minute walk to the Bridge of Peace. Turn left and you’ll reach Freedom Square in about two minutes, followed by Shota Rustaveli Avenue and Galleria Tbilisi, a busy modern shopping center with a great outdoor atmosphere. Judged within its category and level, Hotel City does very well. I’d recommend it to anyone after comfort, convenience, and warm service.
