Nelli’s home cooking was exceptionally good and very affordable, and her husband’s homemade wine rounded out a great Georgian hospitality experience. The beautiful building has lots of greenery, spacious rooms, and a friendly, lived-in feel. We were there for two nights and met two groups of fellow travelers. The hostel is centrally located, about an easy five-minute walk to town, and many sights and wineries are a short drive away. Nelli’s husband took us on a full-day tour covering most places you can’t walk to. He was very welcoming, though he doesn’t speak much English and speaks fluent Russian.

The garden was beautiful and the view from the house was breathtaking. Our host was so caring, sweet, always smiling, and ready to help. She made delicious breakfast and suggested a lovely local wine company. This little gem is easy to recommend. We hope we can return!

The owner was a very friendly host, and we had a great homemade dinner with wine and chacha for just 20 GEL per person. We’re giving it three stars because there was no heating at the start of October. There were plenty of blankets, but the room was freezing. The bathroom was clean, though very cold and low standard. The hand towel stayed soaked, our room had no bin, and there were no towels.

Neli and her husband were lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view. Neli’s homemade dinner was a real highlight. We definitely made the right choice.

The people were incredibly lovely, the food was delicious, and the rooms had beautiful views. There was also a private bathroom and shower. A great place to rest and enjoy Georgian hospitality.
