The mountain pass was closed because of the weather, so I had to turn around and drive back to Tbilisi to find somewhere else to stay. The owners were understanding and refunded my booking even though I was already outside the cancellation window. I really appreciated how flexible and helpful they were in the circumstances.
We used the free laundry machine, which was a nice bonus. The family was kind and friendly, and the modern rooms were clean with comfortable beds. We added dinner and were glad we did: everything was delicious, and we ate in their lovely garden area. The food was locally sourced, which I really like, and they had homemade wine available for a small extra fee. Fantastic guesthouse!
There are lots of animals around here, cows, chickens and dogs running about, but not inside the hostel, lol. The people are very friendly and offered us a fantastic dinner with lots of choices and very good wine.
We found the guest house quiet, comfortable and squeaky clean. The owners were super friendly and helpful, and served really generous dinners and breakfasts. Definitely recommend it if you’re planning a visit to Vardzia.
The visitors’ rooms are set around the garden at this beautiful family house. The hosts greeted us with smiles and were kind throughout our visit. For me, this was the ultimate guesthouse experience in Georgia. Be sure to try their homemade wine!
