The rooms were okay, but I heard a lot of noise at night that I don't think came from guests, since the owners live in the same house. There was no breakfast, dinner, or coffee available, and no guest sitting area where you could relax. There is a common room, but the hosts usually occupied it. The toilets and showers weren't very clean or well maintained. We spent a week in Svaneti and stayed in several guest houses, where we'd come to expect much better service. That's why I'm a bit surprised this place has such high ratings.

We got a good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed, and the two shared bathrooms were clean whenever we used them. The water was hot, and there was free tea in the dining room. After our hike from Mestia to Ushgili, we arrived without a reservation. Marexi offered us a bright, spacious room at the front of the house for a very reasonable price, with beautiful views. We asked for a light vegetarian dinner and got a good selection. They offered a very reasonably priced ride back to Mestia, so we could leave when we wanted. Dudi, our host's cousin, drove carefully, which matters a lot on that road. Both Dudi and Marexi spoke good English. We'd definitely recommend the place and stay again. Madloba!

The owners offer wonderful horse rides to the mountain lake or Skhara Glacier. The place is clean, with nice rooms and bathrooms, and it's close to the tourist route. Definitely recommend staying here!

The family hosting us were lovely, and the views were incredible. Everything was spotless, and the food was so good they practically got me fat! Best guesthouse in Ushguli!

Amazing views, WiFi, and a really nice, helpful family in an extremely pleasant neighbourhood. It feels like a place from years ago, untouched by civilization. Obviously a completely different experience from those so-called 'all inclusive' resorts. Clean, too.
